“Nearly all peoples have developed their own creation myth, and the Genesis story is just the one that happened to have been adopted by one particular tribe of Middle Eastern herders. It has no more special status than the belief of a particular West African tribe that the world was created from the excrement of ants,” said Richard Dawkins, a progressive creationist (Gitt 3). Is Genesis just a myth? That is what some people have concluded. Their theories lead to the belief that not only is Genesis a myth but the whole Bible as well. When all explanations for what triggered evolution were found faulty, people tried to combine evolution and God by reinterpreting the Genesis account of creation to fit evolutionary beliefs. However, all it creates is bemusement; Genesis clearly states the days of creation occurred in just six of our days.
The Hebrew word used in Genesis for day is yom. Yom means a literal twenty-four hour period or the daylight time (Ham 17). Compromising believers have changed day to mean millions of years. When Genesis is not being taken literally, people read into it. Scripture is twisted to say what they want. The gap theory, theistic evolution, progressive creation, and the framework hypothesis are four current ways people try to combine evolution and creation. These compromises between creation and evolution change their beliefs and faith in God.
The gap theory places a several billion year gap between Genesis 1:1, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth,” and 1:2, “Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.” The gap theory declares God initiated evolution in Genesis 1:1, and then in Genesis 1:2, He destroyed the earth by sending Satan and his demons here (Grig 50). This event was so powerful, it created fossils all over the earth. Next, God used the six days of creation (recreation) to begin life on earth again like Genesis says in six twenty-four hour days. The Nelson Study Bible writes in its footnotes on Genesis 1:1,
“Here it means that God renewed what was in a chaotic state. God changed chaos into cosmos, disorder into order, emptiness into fullness… The two words, without form and void, express one concept, chaos. The earth had been reduced to this state–it was not the way God had first created it” (Morris b).
However, the earth did not begin, end, and begin again in Genesis. This is not possible because of significant evidence proving the gap theory wrong.
The biggest problem with this theory is death occurred before Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden (Morris c). If evolutionary processes developed as the gap theory states, creatures must have died before Adam even came into existence. Death is a result of sin, so sin must have existed before Adam and Eve. But creationists believe sin entered the world through Adam and not before. Romans 5:12 corroborates this. “Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned.” If death came before sin, it destroyed the basis for Christ’s atonement because Christ died to save us from sin. Also, God called the Garden of Eden good when he created it. A holy God completely separate from sin would not call something good unless it was perfect.
The Earth could not have been perfect if Satan and his demons ruled here. The gap theory says when the earth was extirpated, it wiped out every living thing. If the earth was destroyed between Genesis 1:1, 2; the forces necessary to do that would have demolished all fossils also, so according to evolutionary thinking no fossils would exist today (Morris b). Obviously they do. The gap theory believers think the Genesis flood was local and not a global catastrophic event. Thus, they believe fossils were formed when Satan came to earth between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2 and not during the flood. However, the Bible makes it clear the flood was global which explains the fossils. Some theories still prefer the evolutionary way of explaining creation though.
Theistic evolution believes God began the ‘big bang’ and guided evolution to create humans (Grig 50). But according to the Bible, God is the cause of all things. “…yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live: and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live” (1 Corinthians 8:6). Theistic evolution teaches God started evolution and guided it, but humans did not come from Him. However, in Matthew 19:4 Jesus refers to God creating man. “‘Haven’t you read,’ he replied, ‘that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female.”” Theistic evolution has taken God and placed him in all the places of their beliefs that do not make sense thus making God a “god of the gaps” (Gitt 49). They change the Bible wherever necessary to fit their beliefs about the beginning of time.
According to theistic evolution, it took God billions of years to create the universe and humans. Like the gap theory, for evolution to happen, death was required before Adam sinned. Theistic evolutionists ascribe death as a part of God’s creation. This is not possible because death came after, not before, sin. Not only do theistic evolutionists place death before sin, but their beliefs also collapse the basis for the Sabbath.
In the Ten Commandments, the six days of work and one day of rest devoted to God, are based on how God created the earth (Gitt 49, 51). Exodus 20:8-11 says, “For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.” Theistic evolutionary beliefs have destroyed the foundations of the Bible and made it a myth.
In addition, theistic evolutionists misinterpret the purpose of God (Gitt 50). God’s purpose is clear in the Bible. Creating us was the most important part of creation. The whole Bible revolves around mankind, not apes or some other creature, but us. Evolution claims we will eventually evolve into something better. But the Bible says we are the purpose of creation. No creature will come along further developed and more important than we are. By thinking we are not God’s purpose, His mission and the entire Bible becomes a fairy tale.
The Bible is also viewed as a fairy tale because Scripture is not being read the way it was meant. Theistic evolutionists pick and choose what they want to obey, breaking up the basis for the Bible. However, the Bible is absolute truth and the authoritative Word of God. Evolutionists throw that away. Clearly, there are many problems with trying to combine evolution and the Bible, but there are still many who believe it can be done.
A third theory, progressive creation, or day age theory, claims God created the universe in seven days (Grig 50). But the days were not ordinary days. Every day of creation was millions of years long. Progressive creation misinterprets the Bible and contradicts itself in several areas.
This theory states the Genesis flood was only local, even though Genesis gives an accurate account of the flood.
“Every living thing on the face of the earth was wiped out; men and animals and the creatures that move along the ground and the birds of the air were wiped from the earth. Only Noah was left and those with him in the ark. The waters flooded the earth for a hundred and fifty days” (Genesis 7:23-24).
This passage indicates the entire earth was covered with water. Even the highest mountains were buried beneath at least twenty feet of water (Genesis 7:20). The flood had to have been global; there is no other solution. Progressive creationists teach nature is perfect as it was in the Garden of Eden. God would not have flooded the earth, though, if it was perfect and there would be no reason for heaven if we live in a perfect world now.
Dr. Hugh Ross, a progressive creationist, calls nature the sixty-seventh book of the Bible. He believes the Bible says God cannot lie. Therefore Ross makes the assumption, “so the record of nature must be just as perfect, and reliable and truthful as the sixty-six books of the Bible that is part of the Word of God” (Ham). Yes, God cannot lie, but Romans 8:22 says, “We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time.” Nature is not perfect by far and it is definitely not a book of the Bible. There is no basis to even consider nature as a Bible book. No basis exists for death occurring before sin either.
God created the Garden of Eden to be perfect. There was no death because the Garden was perfect and plants were given as food. But everything changed when Adam and Eve sinned. Actually, the mission of Christ becomes a myth if death is placed before sin. According to Ken Ham, Dr. Ross interprets John 3:16 “For God so loved the human race that he went to the expense of building a hundred-billion trillion-stars and carefully shaped and crafted them for sixteen-billion years so that at this brief moment in time we could all have a nice place to live” (Ham). God’s mission of sending His Son is completely destroyed by this statement. God stated in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, so that whoever believes in him may not perish but have eternal life.” God came to rescue us from sin, so we can be with Him forever in a perfect world not this sinful earth. The main problem with progressive creation is clear. This theory ruins the mission of God. But there is another theory, the framework hypothesis which tries to solve the problems of all the other theories and still combine evolution with creation.
The framework hypothesis, a fourth theory, states Genesis is written as an example of the Sabbath and is not the account of creation (Grig 50). By believing this, the framework hypothesis can say life was created through evolution because Genesis is not a record of creation. However, there is too much extra information in Genesis if it was meant only to teach the theology of the Sabbath. Why then is there so much extra information recorded? It has to be because Genesis was not meant only to teach about the Sabbath. Creation makes no sense in a different order as the framework hypothesis suggests.
The appearance of parallelism between the days of creation is the main basis for the framework theory. It claims Genesis is not in chronological order, therefore it is not an account of creation. Framework theory believers claim a similar pattern exists between day one and four, day two and five, and day three and six. By believing in this, the framework hypothesis concludes the days of creation are not in order, but this, of course, is not biblical.
The Genesis account is not logical if the days of creation are rearranged. Below is a chart that appeared in an article written by Andrew Kulikovsky, displaying the supposed connection between the days of creation (Kulikovsky).
Day 1: Let there be light (1:3). Day 4: Let there be lights (1:14).
Day 2: Let there be an expanse to separate water from water (1:6). Day 5: Let the water teem with creatures and let birds fly above the earth (1:20).
Day 3: Let dry land appear (1:9).Let the land produce vegetation (1:11). Day 6: Let the land produce living creatures (1:24). Let us make man (1:26). I give you every seed bearing plant…and every tree that has fruit with seed in it…for food (1:29).
First, God said, “Let there be light,” on day one. On day four God created the planets, the stars, the moon, and the sun. Even though God created darkness and light on day one, it does not include the sun and moon. He merely created light. We do not know if it was heavenly light or not, but we do know He created the stars and moon to separate light from darkness on day four. This means light and darkness must have existed before the sun and moon to be separated by them.
Next, the framework hypothesis says day two and five are alike, suggesting a different order. God created a space called sky to separate water from water on day two. On day five, He created birds to fly in the sky and creatures to swim in the sea. The expanse was made on day two and on day five He created creatures to live in them. Day five must have come after day two for this to happen. Also, the seas were not officially established as seas until day three, so birds and fish on day five could not have lived before day three.
Then, God made dry land appear, and He also commanded the land to produce vegetation on day three. Animals were created on day six and man was made to rule over them. If day three did not precede day six, the animals would have starved because vegetation wasn’t created yet and the creatures were herbivores. So day six must have occurred after the plants were created on day three.
The days of creation had to happen in the exact order recorded in Genesis. Any other order would change the next step and alter the entire process. The framework hypothesis has no base and is therefore false.
The problems with these theories are easy to see. The gap theory attempts to place a gap between verses in the Bible and ends up placing death before sin. Theistic evolution puts evolution wherever it wants and makes the Bible relative. Progressive creation makes the days of creation long and puts a perfect God in an imperfect nature. The framework hypothesis mixes up Genesis and changes the creation week so it is irrelevant. All of these theories have over the years caused people to turn from the true purpose of the Bible. We are here to go into all the world and tell people about Christ, so they might be saved. Without a literal Genesis the Bible becomes a myth, and so does God. People today need to see the error in compromise and turn back to the truth.

With the claims society increasing around the globe, owning public liability insurance is becoming ever more and more needed. If you don’t at this time have professionally indemnity insurance incorporated into your building insurance, then now is probably the moment in time to look into buying suitable cover. Here is some recommendations about why you need insurance, & what to look out for.
What is professional indemnity cover: Professional Indemnity insurance is an insurance agreement that shelters you from claims that other individuals could possibly make against you in the probability of an accident. If somebody damages their property or wounds themselves in or around your property or company then the public liability insurance will cover you for any damages that might possibly occur. Insurance can range from two-hundred and fifty pounds up to one million pounds.
What are you insured for: Insurance will insure protect against accidents or loss that other people may suffer in or around your residence or organisations grounds. You are protected from claims from thief’s in addition to damages that might perhaps take place to anyone from falling objects or employees carrying out maintenance. If a mishap happens on your property & someone claims against you, your cover will support you to pay any damages.
What’s included Various contents or property insurance documents enclose integrated liability insurance. You should check with your insurance firm whether this is the case, and if so what extent of protection you get. Even if the insurance is incorporated, you must ensure that you are properly protected for any type of accidents that may possibly happen. Ask for a public liability insurance quote request today.
Payment: The premiums that you are likely to have to pay depend on the level of coverage you buy. If you just cover your house, then the premiums are very likely to be a smaller amount than if you are covering a business. On the other hand, premiums are fairly cheap inexpensive the extent of protection that you have to pay for, & its therefore necessary for any individual running an organisation.

A Cisco home lab is an invaluable study tool when you’re preparing for CCNA and CCNP exam success. Once you’ve gotten a couple of routers and switches, you’ll quickly get tired of moving that blue console cable every time you want to configure a different device. The solution to this problem is purchasing and configuring an access server (AS).
For those of you new to access servers, note that these are not white boxes running Microsoft operating systems. These are Cisco routers that allow you to connect to all the routers and switches in your home lab without moving a cable. You can physically or logically connect to the access server and work with all your devices from there.
When you’re pricing access servers, please remember that you do NOT need an expensive AS. Right now on ebay there are access servers costing up to $5000 - this is NOT what you want to buy. What you’re looking for is something like a 2509 or 2511, which is going to run you anywhere from $100 - $200. It’s money well spent, because once you get an AS, you’ll really wonder how you ever did without it.
The only additional hardware you need is the cable that will physically connect your AS to the other routers and switches in your home lab. The cable you need is called an octal cable, so named because one end of this cable is actually eight ends, all terminated with a numbered RJ-45 connector.
The large end of the cable is going to be connected to the AS itself. The cable will connect to a port on the AS that will have “async 1-8″ directly above the physical port. It is this port that makes an AS different from other Cisco routers.
Once you’ve got your AS and this cable, you’re ready to configure your AS. Connect the cable to the AS as described above, and then you will connect one of the RJ-45 connectors to the console port of each one of your routers and switches. Make sure to note the number that’s on the cable itself right below the connector, because that’s very important. In the next part of this home lab tutorial, I’ll tell you exactly how to configure your access server for best results, along with a few troubleshooting tips.

Receiving Blessings from God
What are some keys that unlock the windows of heaven so that we can receive more of what we ask from our heavenly Father? Does the Bible state what we must do to receive what we ask from God? Yes, it does in John 3:21-22:
“21 Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. 22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.” (KJV)
The purpose of this article is to describe four keys to receiving blessings from God.
Keep God’s Commandments
We must keep God’s 10 commandments. Obedience is one important way that we show that we truly love God as shown in I John 5:3:
“3For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.” (KJV)
Be a Profitable Servant
What must we do if we are to be profitable servants to God and please him? Luke shows us in Luke 17:7-10.
“7 But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say unto him by and by, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to meat? 8And will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink? 9Doth he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I trow not. 10So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do.” (KJV)
Would an employer give a raise or bonus to an employee simply because the employee comes to work on time and performs the basic requirements of the job? No. An employee receives raises and bonuses because the employee goes above and beyond the basic job requirements. A good employee does more work than is required to help generate profits for the employer so that the employer can afford to give the employee a raise or a bonus.
Likewise, we are to do more than God requires of us to receive a greater reward both in this life and in the Kingdom of God. God is pleased when we do more than is required of us in our zeal for serving him.
Be a Cheerful Giver
When we become profitable servants by doing more than is required of us, we can begin to receive blessings from God. What must we do to receive even more blessings? The answer is in II Corinthians 9:6-8:
“6 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. 7Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. 8And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:” (KJV)
If we wish to reap a bountiful harvest of blessings, we must sow the field bountifully with the seeds of cheerful giving. If we want to experience real, abundant living, we must practice real, abundant giving.
We are to purpose in our hearts to give to God and others. We should plan our giving carefully. We should give because we want to do so, not because we have to give.
We can give of our money, our time, and our prayers. Is there another way in which we can give to God? II Corinthians 9:9 shows another way to give to God:
“9 (As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever.” (KJV)
Proverbs 19:17 also describes the blessings that come from giving to the poor: “He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.” (KJV)
Giving to the poor is like loaning money to God. God signs the promissory note for what we give to the poor. God will never default, but the note is not a demand note. It is not a note that we can force God to pay on our demand at the time of our choosing. God decides when to repay the debt. Jesus Christ came that we might have life more abundantly, but we will receive most of our reward in the Kingdom of God.
Walk by Faith
As we walk down life’s trail, we often cannot see far ahead of us. Sometimes the trail has twists and turns that we did not see. Sometimes fog covers the trail, and we need the light of God’s word to see the next blaze. We are to walk down life’s trail with faith as shown in Hebrews 11:6.
“6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” (KJV)
Yes, we must walk by faith, which is the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1). We need to follow the trail that God has shown us. We do not need to see all the trail as long as we see the next blaze that God has marked to let us know we are the right trail.
Just as human parents provide for their children, God as our Father wants to give us good things (Matthew 7:11). We are to seek his will for our lives as we walk by faith. If we do so, the rewards from God are sure, but they may not come in the form or at the time that we might desire.
Conclusion
The are several keys to opening the windows of heaven to receive abundant blessings from God. We must (1) keep God’s commandments, (2) be a profitable servant, (3) be a cheerful giver, and (4) walk by faith. These keys are not the only keys. Other scriptures show additional ways that we can please God. Through a diligent study of of the Bible, we can learn more perfectly how to please God, live an abundant life, and receive blessings from God.

The Vomit Comet is the nickname for Nasa’s C-9 airplane used to simulate weightlessness for astronaut training. The C-9 replaced two KC-135’s previously used for this function. The Vomit Comet engages in a flight lasting almost three hours entailing 30-40 parabolic loops in which gravity varies from earth’s gravitational pull to near weightlessness for a period of 25 seconds. The aircraft flies horizontally for a period of time only to rise in a steep climb followed by the 25 second freefall.
The Vomit Comet received its name from the percentage of its passengers who throw up on its flights. According to John Yaniec, lead test director for NASA’s Reduced Gravity Program, roughly one third of its passengers vomit, one third get sick but don’t vomit, and the rest don’t get sick at all. According to Yaniec, most airsickness is caused by anxiety over the upcoming flight.
The Vomit Comet is used to train future astronauts as well as to carry out microgravity experiments. Many high school and college science experiments have been carried out over the years on the Vomit Comet. One of the original KC-135 Vomit Comets was used to film scenes of the 1995 movie Apollo 13 starring Tom Hanks.

Have you heard the word dongle being thrown about recently and wondered what it meant? I was exactly the same if you answered yes to the above question and when I purchased my mobile broadband from a store in my local high street and the sales representative told me I would get a free dongle, I thought he was being rude.
I eventually found out after some rather strange looks that a dongle is the thing that makes your laptop wirelessly connected to the internet and it is a tiny thing, about the same size as a key ring. It plugs into the USB port of your laptop or PC normally but can come in the way of a mobile media card or other device that connects you to the internet by way of your mobile phone.
The dongle has been scaled down in size over the years of technological evolution and you will generally receive it free of charge when you sign up to any mobile broadband tariff both online and in store. However, some providers will charge a small fee for this small device so that is something to look out for; I found a full comparison at Broadband Genie.co.uk.
Mobile broadband with a dongle generally works out much cheaper than the regular kind of broadband that you might get at home that is hooked up to your landline but the main thing that you must remember is to always have it password protected where possible.
The device is tiny which means that it is easily lost or stolen and unless you want an unpleasant surprise when you get a bill and realise that someone has gone over your inclusive usage on your behalf and worked up a hefty bill.

I know! I know! Everybody and his dog has probably been telling you that email marketing is dead. Many people predicted that spam would be the death of email marketing. That blogs and RSS feeds would take over.
Well, if you’ve noticed, it just ain’t so. It just hasn’t happened. Sure Blogs and RSS feeds are important and should be a part of your internet marketing strategy but they just can’t compete with email marketing when it comes to sales and marketing. Email marketing is still king of the internet.
Think about it, how do you get people to your blogs? I’m talking return visitors! You’re probably getting your visitors to opt-in to your list so that you can send them an email reminder whenever you add something to your blog.
Email marketing through publishing an ezine and sending it to your opt-in list is extremely profitable, even if you have a small list. The nature of ezine publishing creates loyal readers and highly responsive buyers for your products and services.
Why is email marketing such a powerful marketing strategy:
- the majority of people check their email every day
- there is a significant savings in time and money
- millions of people subscribe to get information that they are interested in
- increases customer loyalty because of frequent contacts
- email builds your brand
If you have a responsive opt-in list then the potential for email marketing profits is enormous. Thousands of successful internet marketers can’t be wrong when they say “The Money Is In The List.”
Build your responsive, opt-in list. Send them useful and informative information in your newsletter. Find out what they want. Find that product or service. Offer it to your list. Then do it again and again.
Email Marketing is still King!

Decorating for Christmas
There is nothing better than the very first day of December. The holiday season is my absolute favorite time of the year and I look forward to decorating for Christmas right after Halloween. I make myself hold off until the first day of December. Once that day shows up on the calendar, I start the official thrill of decorating for Christmas. I grew up in a household where Christmas was always a big ordeal. My mom decorated the entire house and some of the outside trees and bushes. Everything always looked like a page of a magazine. She loved doing it. I suppose I have the love for decorating for Christmas in my system because I definitely look forward to it every year.
I focus first on the outside of the house. I cannot stand when people decorate haphazardly and seem to just toss their Christmas lights on the bushes and trees. Take a few moments to look like you are organized and have pride in your decorating skills. When I am decorating for Christmas, I want my house to look like my mother’s used to - elegant. I only use the white twinkling lights in all of my decorating. I secure the outside Christmas lights to their chosen bushes, trees and front porch, and then tackle the inside of the house. I have a gorgeous spiral staircase that I absolutely love decorating for Christmas. I wrap the white lights up the staircase banister. My husband loves when I decorate the staircase. We have made it a family tradition to pick out our Christmas tree. Last year, we decided to cut down our own tree and it turned out to be a memorable experience.
It was not an experience I plan on repeating. My husband, daughter and I decided to go tree shopping on an incredibly cold, snowy day thinking that it would further set the mood. Instead, we argued and froze for hours. Sure, we did find a wonderful tree but the entire day consisted of nitpicking and complaining. This year, we’ll simply visit the local Boy Scouts tree sale lot and bring it home without any major hassles. The best part of decorating for Christmas is the tree. After the lights are perfectly placed, the fun begins. Each one of us has our own favorite ornaments that we have to place in the perfect location. Decorating for Christmas is not complete without the carols softly playing in the background. I can’t help but love the holiday season.
Decorating for Christmas has been effective in not only being a seasonal hobby for me but it has also become something that my family looks forward to. It brings us together during the most wonderful season of the year.

“Your highness…” this is the classic greeting to someone noble by birth and of royalty in their blood. Not only in fairy tales does king and queens, prince and princesses, dukes and duchess live happily ever after with the abundance of all the riches in the world as far as your mind can ever imagine. They are real people. Their part in history is as legendary and ill-famed all the same time. Their kind still exist up to this very day.
I’m pretty sure every single little girl (including you when you were young) dreamed of wearing a cute and shiny tiara on her head while parading with an accustomed diamond sequined gown as you tirelessly wave your hand as part of your duty as the princess of the kingdom to frequently exercise social connection to your people such as that of grand regalia and a majestic display of power and supremacy over the royal domain.
What an excellent job having a very vivid imagination of such a day dream for an ordinary little girl. However for people who were born with nobility and royalty running in their veins this is neither wish to ask nor a dream to strive or work for at all.
Nobility can be defined as a social class of persons distinguished by high birth or rank, the quality of elevation of the mind, character, morals, and conduct. A state having hereditary titles, antiquity of family however this stature can also be bestowed upon a person due to his distinct service to his people and country or merely conferred out of gratitude and other tainted reasons or compromise. Despite the full and enriched way of living, in return the freedom of the soul and will of mind is conceded most of the times. Above all the grandeur, fame, and power a grave responsibility comes first of being on this magnificent status called nobility and royalty.
